Not My Will

What is your life's goal for how you live? Are you one who is willing to bend your will and be reshaped for however the Lord wants to use you or would you rather live your life according to how you want to?

Our lives can be lived one of two ways. Either how we desire to live or how God desires us to live.

The path we choose depends on how we yield ourselves. Are you going to yeild to self or to God? The choice is wholly yours. Remember, so is the outcome because of that choice.

Romans 6:13 "Neither yield ye your members of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God."

Yielding to oneself can bring destruction, pain and loneliness. Yielding to God will bring joy, freedom and a life full of blessings.

How we pray, what condition our heart is in and where our thoughts tend to lean- positively or negatively; all contribute to which path our lives are most likely going to take.

Romans 6:16" Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"

As Christians, our soul desire should be to want to live in the will of God. Our prayer should daily be "not my will but thine". In Luke 22 we read where Christ was at the Mount of Olives prior to His crucifixion. He was asking God to remove what was about to happen to Him but He also added "Nevertheless, not my will but thine be done". Because of Christ's act to bend to the Father's will, we can have eternal life in heaven.

What about bending our will to the Father's will? Imagine what He can do with and in our lives if we completely yield to Him?

*When you yield your will to God, your life's path is so much more bearable on this earth.
