A Mended Blessing

Webster's dictionary defines brokenness as: "The state or quality of being broken; unevenness, or violently separated into parts"

Our brokenness doesn't have to be an obstacle that we have to overcome in order for God to use us.

"He brought me up  also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings." Psalm 40:2 KJV

There are so many people in the Bible that were far more broken than you or I could ever be. God took their brokenness, mended it and then used it. He took their stories and made them into a beautiful mess for His glory. He used them along with their brokenness to do miracles, preach the gospel and win souls. Just think how God could use you along with your brokenness.

"The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit." Psalm 34:18 KJV

If God wanted perfection, He would not use us as His vessels. He would send down His angles to do His work. Allow God to take your brokenness and use it. Allow Him to transform your every mistake and turn it into something good. Every situation in our lives happens for a reason. Let it be a help to those around you. Whether for someone who is going through a similar situation you are going through now or a situation from your past. You can be a blessing to another person and not even realize the amazing impact you could have on them. Be the mended blessing God created you to be.

"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.'' Psalm 147:3 KJV

We are as clay, being formed and changed constantly to become the best we can. The potter molds the clay until it becomes beautiful. The clay may not want to form in the potters hands but eventually as it allows the potter to form it, it gives way and starts to form shapes. Our hearts are the clay in God's hands. Slowly we soften our hearts and bend our will to the Father's will. How sweet it is when our heart, thoughts and will align with God's. Our past hurt, anger & trials God can take and use them for how He sees fit.

Isaiah 64:8 KJV "But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter and we all are the work of thy hand."

*Our broken mess can turn into a mended blessing because sometimes we have to go through the winding roads of life to get to the beauty.
